slab garden
landscape design - casa fe frate
2019
With the construction of a new slab, the garden expands, reaching the pre-existing roof slab that already has the use of a solarium and gazebo, and thus connects and unifies the larger external areas. Originally, the house rests on steep and narrow terrain, and the slab proposal appears as a leveling element for greater physical and visual fluidity. In this way, the upper plane in its extension encompasses a fertile space, which oscillates between the encounter and the intimate.
The solar presence in this space becomes a protagonist, close to the neighborhood's surroundings, seen in sight.
To maintain the quality of the current studio, below the proposed slab, a zenith opening illuminates the back of the space, and provides environmental comfort.
